Welder/Fabricator

At Advanced Material Handling we design and manufacture customized heavy industrial material handling equipment for pulp/paper, sawmill, biomass, OSB, cement/asphalt, sugar, OEM and mining industries all across America.

As we continue to grow with an increase of 25% year after year and this past year, we have been awarded a few large fabrications projects for chain drag conveyors systems where the work will project into the next few years. Hence, we are looking to add highly skilled Welders/Fabricators to join our team.

Currently, we are looking for Welders/Steel Fabricators at our Abbotsford facility.

  • Day shift hours – 6:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday.
  • Weekend shift hours – 6:00 am to 6:30 pm Friday to Sunday.

Job Description:

  • Flux core welding.
  • Assemble components and parts as required.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Build welding jigs.
  • Use and maintain tools and shop equipment.
  • Ability to read work orders and ensure instructions are being followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Flux core Welding Experience.
  • C and/or B Ticket (Advantageous).

Mechanical Design Engineer (EIT)

Job description

Role And Responsibilities:

  • Ability to review and edit drawings before production.
  • Ability to prepare and design engineering drawings of Chain & Flight Configs, Sprockets, Shafts, take-ups, conveyors, and Structural Components.
  • Ability to prepare and review detailed fabrication drawings, burning patterns, and parts for Machining.
  • Ability to reverse engineer customer samples of chains, flights, buckets, and sprockets.
  • Ability to understand the design of a conveyor.
  • Ability to complete accurate on-site visual inspections and on-site chain surveys.
  • Ability to train other designers when needed.
  • Accurately manages all drawing files.
  • Ability to inspect incoming products from vendors, sub-contractors, and distributors.
  • Accurately prepares and files inspection reports.
  • Ability to review and identify non-conformance.
  • Ability to create or follow standards for Engineering Department.

Qualifications And Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in Mechanical Industrial Design.
  • Experience in the Mining, Industrial, and/ or Consulting Field.
  • Experience in Steel Fabrication Design and Drawings.
  • Minimum Requirement: Mechanical Technologist Education.

  • Technical and Mechanical aptitude.

Warehouse Shipper and Receiver

Currently we are looking for a Shipper/Receiver at our Abbotsford facility. The primary challenge is to stay organized with priorities and conquer all aspects of manual labor.

  • Day Shift hours – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday.

Job Description

Role And Responsibilities:

  • Provide manual labour work.
  • Assisting the Department Manager.
  • Completion of bill of lading and receiving tickets if required.
  • Scheduling of trucks for shipping if required.
  • Provide forklift service to incoming and outgoing trucks.
  • Examine incoming goods for quality and correct counts.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
  • Monitor and audit inventory levels and bin location accuracy.
  • Ensure goods are received accurately and inspected.

Education & Experience:

  • 2 years shipping & receiving
